TRADE WITH AUSTRALIA. MANUFACTURER'S PROPOSAL. (Received September 24, .V 5 p.m.) VANCOUVER, Sept. 23. The appointment of a permanent Australian trade representative in British Columbia was suggested by Mr. W. H. McDonald, president of the British Columbia Manufacturing Company, at a banquet at New Westminster to the Australian trade delegation. He stated that if Canadians bought Australian products, British Columbia would be able to supply all Australia's lumber needs.
