DRAINLAYER'S DEATH.
KNOCKED DOWN BY CAR. COMPENSATION FOR PARENTS. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON. Friday. In the Arbitration Court to-day, Jame« Brown, carpenter, and his wife, Martha Hunter Brown, of Aparima Avenue, Miramar, were awarded compensation amounting to £l3O, plus £l9 10s funeral expenses and £lO 10s costs, against Leo Albert and Company, Limited, plumbers, Wellington, in respect of the death of their son George Andrew Hunter Brown, drainlayer, aged 32. Brown died as a result of injuries received through being knocked down by a motor-car on April 21 while excavating a drain.
