A CARD EVENING.
The Auckland West branch of tho United Political League, held a bridge and five hundred evening recently. The room was gaily decorated in blue and gold, and bowls of Iceland poppies. Among tlioso present were:—Mrs. Von Sturmer, Mrs. Coughlan, Mrs. Scllars, Mrs. Wigg, Mrs. Nicholson, Mrs. Bell, Mrs. Murray, Mrs. Phillips, Mrs. Moslcy, Mrs. Ussher, Mrs. Young, Mrs. Bromine!!, Mrs. Williams, Miss Warne, Miss Litherlaud, Miss Gardiner, Miss Lowe and Miss Jean Coughlan. Prizes were won by Mrs. Young and Mrs. Phillips.
