OUTRAGES IN IRELAND.
KILRUSH RESIDENT SHOT. CHARRED BODY ON CLIFF., ALARMING TERRORISM. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received September 15, 10.35 p.m.) Times Cable. LONDON, Sept. 14. The Dublin correspondent of the Times reports that Mr. William Maclnerney, a well-known resident of Kilrush, County Wexford, was brutally shot down on his own doorstep immediately after picking up a strange missive headed with a skull and crossbones and reading: "Spies, beware." The shooting was done by men on bicycles. Mr. Maclnerney is now in hospital in a serious condition. The charred body of Mr. P. J. Mulligan, a resident of Sligo, was found on a lonely cliff. This followed his mysterious summoning from bed in the middle of the night. These and other outrages are associated with the alarming spread of terrorism and illegal drilling which continues openly throughout the country. Sean Macßride, an extremist leader, speaking in County Kerry, boasted of the progress the revolutionary movement is making.
