NEW ZEALANDERS COMPLAIN MISTAKE MADE BY PURSER. [from ouit own connKsroNnENT.] LONDON, August 13. The High Commissioner, Sir Thomas Wilford, has received the following letter from Lord Inchcape, relative to a complaint made by New Zealand passengers on a recent voyage of the Bendigo:— "I am very sorry indeed to notice that you have had to draw attention to an unfortunate mistake made by a purser in one of the branch line ships in including New Zealand money in the samo category as Australian and liable to a discount of 30 per cent. I am sure that you will accept my expressions of regret at this mistake, which was not made in the P. and 0. Company's offices. The matter was at once put right and the offending circular withdrawn." A notice was displayed after the vessel left Fremantle, advising passengers that the rate of exchange on Australian and New Zealand currency would be 30 per cent., or 6s in the pound, on all moneys tendered for purchases or settlement of accounts,
