Sir,—Would you please answer the fol lowing:—(1) Is a man who does domestic servant's work exempt from wages tax ? (2) Is an old age pensioner exempt from wages tax when he is earning some wages, tho amount of which is stipulated in the Pension Act as up to £1 a week above the 17s 6d a week pension he gets ? P. [All income received in the form of wages or salary is liable to the tax, except (1) the wages of female domestic servants in private employment and (2) the wages of relief workers if paid wholly from the unemployment fund.
