ROAD BOARD VACANCY.
MOUNT ROSKILL BY-ELECTION.
Tho by-election to fill the vacancy on tho Mount. Itoskill Road Board, causeVl by the resignation of Mr. C. M. McCullough, ex-chairman of the board, will take place to-day. The two candidates for the seat are Mr. McCullough and Mr. A. E. l'layle.
Considerable interest in the election is being taken by ratepayers, and it is expected that thero will bo a record poll, which will close at six o'clock. Up to the present tjine, since Mr. McCullough's resignation, the eight members of the board have been unable to agree on a chairman, although Mr. R. Sanft occupied the chair at the last meeting. A permanent chairman will bo elected at the first meeting of the board following the byelcction.
