CUSTOMS UNION PLAN.
GERMANY AMD AUSTRIA. REPORT OF RENUNCIATION. (.Received September 1, 9.45 p.m.) VIENNA, Sept. 1. In spite of earlier denials it is understood that the Foreign Minister, Dr. Schober, agreed to announce at Geneva the renunciation of the proposed Austro-German customs union. The idea is to keep tho door open for its later renewal, if the French proposals for a lowering of economic barriers are deemed insufficient.
