THE SPORTS CLUB.
A misunderstanding which resulted in several riders leaving the course and returning to Auckland without completing the distance lias resulted in the executive of the Sports Motor-Cycle Club deciding to re run the Pascoc Cup trial on September 12 and 13. lb was unfortunate that the misunderstanding arose, in the original event, as some of the riders had performed particularly well, but the decision to re-run the trial was, under the circumstances, the only practical way out of the difficulty. Next, Sunday club members will lake part in an unknown destination run, leaving Western Springs at 10 a.m. A general meeting will be held on luesdav evening.
NOTES. Dipping headlights are now regular equipment on several British models. Statistics show that America owns 26 out of every 35 motor vehicles in the world. Scotland Yard has placed an order for a number of "high-powered" motorcycles and sidecars, capable of 65 m.p.h.
