DOMINION CONFERENCE:.

LOCAL DELEGATES APPOINTED

Preparations for the Dominion conference of fruitgrowers, which will be held in Wellington 011 September 2, 3 and 4, were made at a provincial conference of fruitgrowers hold in Auckland yesterday. In the morning under the chairmanship of Mr. W. J. Rodger, the balance-sheet of the New Zealand Fruitgrowers' Federation was discussed. It showed that for the 18 months ended June 30, 1931, the federation had made a net profit of £4577, and of that amount £2746 was to bo allocated to special accounts for growers' credits in accordance with the provisions of the constitution. The following delegates were chosen to represent the various districts:—Messrs. R. Becroft (Whangarei), C. Ballantvne (Hamilton), S. W. House (Thames), and J. A. Lambden, H. S. Izard and F. Firth (Auckland). Mr. Rodger was reelected a director of the federation. In the afternoon exporters met under the chairmanship of Mr. F. Firth, and the remits for the Fruit Export Control Board conference, to be held in conjunction with the federation conference, were considered. Mr. 'H. Becroft and Mr. H. S. Izard were appointed the representatives of the Auckland district at the conference.
