THREE SHEEP STOLEN.

YOUNG FARMER'S OFFENCE. EXPLANATION OF ACTION. [by telegraph.—press association-.] TVAIPUKUBAU, Monday. A farmer, Jonathan Rex Swarbrick, 21, of Norsewood, pleaded guilty to the theft of three sheep, valued at £2 14s, the property of a neighbouring farmer, and was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. Accused, in evidence, stated that the sheep were on his father's property for 12 months, and so he killed two wethers, hanging the skins bearing the earmarks in a cowshed. He made no attempt to disguise his action.
