AMBASSADOR AT BERLIN.
NEW FRENCH APPOINTMENT. PARIS, August SI. M. Andre Ponced has been appointed French Ambassador at Berlin, in saccession to M. Eru.no de Margerie, who has retired. M. Andre Francois Poneet has been a prominent member of th© National Republican Party in France. He was born in 1887, and was ejected to Parliament in 1924. Hr; is managing director of the Society for Economic Study and Information.
