Writing of Mr. Balokovic's artistry, a Wellington critic said: " Tho opening performance revealed the stranger as one of the most sincere, cultured and refined artists who have visited the Dominion for a decade. Sincerity is his keynote; music to him is something fraught with a beauty that is not to bo taken lightly. Though he played Mendelssohn, Brahms and other famous composers, it was as an interpreter of Bach that he made the deepest impression."
