FUSION NOT SUPPORTED.
PAPATOETOE BUSINESS MEN.
Tho Papatootoe Chamber of Commerce decided at a meeting this week to take no action on a suggestion from the Auckland Chamber of Commerce that the proposals for tho formation of a National Government be supported. After the letter had been read, several members stated that this was a political matter which was outside the province of the chamber and suggested that the letter be received. Mr. W. J. Nicholson moved that no action be taken. He said the fusion of the Reform and United Parties would not solve the difficulties of the country in the sense that it would remove the three-party system. Mr. H. M. Didsbury favoured supporting the movement for fusion, but it was agreed by a majority vote to' take no action.
