EXTRACTS FROM THE HERALD. The following are extracts from the New Zealand Herald of August 13, 1881: it is said that several persons in Auckland will avail themselves of the: provisions of -Sir George Grey's Law P rac * titioners* Act if ifc comes into force. A statement is current that the members oi the New Zealand Law • Society propose' to meet Sir George's attempt to open tna avenues to the profession by, the counter move of fixing the premiums of articled pupils at 100 guineas. Mr. Bartiey, the architect for this new Weslevan Church in Hamilton, arrived there yesterday and laid off the site oi the proposed building. It will be placed on the Victoria Street side of the present church building and will face Co'llingwood Street. ' 1 In the House of Lords, on August 11, the Right Hon.
