SOUTH ISLAND FIXTURE. REDUCTION OF PRIZE-MONEY. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday. The prize-money has been reduced for the Wairnate-Christcburch load race on October :l. Last year £l4B was distributed, but this year only £IOO has been collecfed. Some of this haa to be held in reservo for an emergency, so that the amount available in cash awards will be considerably lowered. Entries close on August 24.
