In the Poire Court '.o-day, Arthur Francis Bailey, aged 18, was convicted on a charge of assaulting his mother, the informant. He was ordered to come up for sentence when called upon, not to enter his mother's house' and to pay costs. The informant told an extraordinary story, alleging that, her son had thrown knives at her, wounding her once in the leg, and had thumped her while on the floor. All this was because lie had been called on to contribute to her maintenance.
