WALKER DEFEATS PASHA. LOSER SUFFERS CONCUSSION. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS. ASSOCIATION.] "WELLINGTON, Tuesday. In the fourth round of a match at the Town Hall last evening, George Walker defeated. Kara Pasha. Pasha had won a fall in the third round, and was on the point of winning another with tho Boston crab near the beginning of the fourth, when Walker heaved Pasha clear. - The latter was facing the ropes, and sailed through them to the floor of tho hall, which he struck with his head. He suffered'slight concussion, and was unable to continue, the match going to Walker. The match was keenly enjoyed by a capacity house. Walker, standing in the ring after having been awarded the match, chose to address the crowd. " It's unfortunate," he said, referring to Pasha's disablement, " I refuse to accept the honour of winning the match under these conditions." He went over to the corner where Pasha, having more or less recovered, was preparing to leave tho ring, and tho pair shook hands. Both were applauded when they loft for their dressing rooms. Pasha was examined by two doctors, and it was found he had received slight concussion through striking the floor with the top and back of his head. MATCHES IN TE AWAMUTU. [from our own correspondent.] TE AWAMUTU, Tuesday. Advice has been received by the secretary of the Te Awamutu Young Mens Institute that its application for affiliation with the Dominion of New Zealand union has been granted. , This movement la with the object of enabling tho institute to piomoto wrestling contests in Te Awamutu. ANOTHER EVEN BOUT. STRENUOUS MAT WORK. [by telegraph.—press association.] MASTERTON, Tuesday. A professional wrestling bout this evening between Sam Burmistcr (14st ~ib) _ and George Pencheff (13st 121b) ended m a draw. Burmister secured a fall •in the fourth round with flying splits, and Pencheff evened in the seventh round following an aeroplane spin. It was a good fast contest with plenty of strenuous mat- work. George Pencheff, the Bulgarian, and Tom Alley drew in a wrestling match la_st evenin" Pencheff secured a fall in the third round, and Alley a submission fall in the sixth.
