DANCE AND CARD EVENING.
1 MARIST BROTHERS' SCHOOL.
The funds of the Marist Brothers' School, Vermont Street, were satisfactorily augmented as the result of a (lance and card evening organised by a committee of ladies and held in the Manchester Unity Hall last evening. A euchre and bridge tournament, in which a large number of the guests took part, was held in the large supper room, and excellent music was, provided for the dancers by the Parisian orchestra. The members of the committee were:—Mrs. M. Flynn, Mrs. Mac Gill, Mrs. Byrnes, Mrs. K. Snedden, Misses N. and M. Flvnn, Mrs. M. O'Connor, Miss J. Barry, Miss Lillas, Mrs. Heeiley, Miss E. O'Brien, Mrs. Denniston, Mrs. Grace, Mrs. Northover, Mrs. Davidson and Mrs. Leydon. Among those present were:—Mrs. K. Snedden, who wore a frock of cherry floral ninon; Mrs. L. Smith, black georgette; Mrs. O'Brien, black chiffon; Mrs. J. Price, Havana brown satin; Mrs. C. Clark, black georgette; Mrs. A. N. Snedden, black satin; Mrs. Stitchbury, black panne velvet with a black and silver bridge coat; Mrs. T. Sheehan, black georgette; Mrs. B. M. Prendergast, apricot georgette; Mrs. Delaney, chocolate brown satin beaute; Mrs. C. Cairns, beige georgette; Mrs. 11. Tidball, cameo pink satin; (Mrs. H. Aekins, black georgette embroidered with crystal beads; Miss Bona Kelly, shell pink lace over satin; Miss N. Flynn, rose, embossed chenille georgette bodice with a tulle skirt; Miss Flynn, primrose handpainted georgette; Miss Lillas, apricot georgette; Miss Mahoney, black georgette; Miss K. Roe, powder blue georgette; Miss K. O'Donnell, rose, pink georgetteMiss M. Byrnes wore primrose satin; Miss E.
