TAURANGA MARDI GRAS.

[EROSI OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TAURANGA, Tuesday. A decision was made at a public meeting last evening to hold a Mardi Gras at the end of this year provided the necessary guarantee is forthcoming. The object is to provido funds for the Regatta Club and the Beautifying Society on a basis of 75 per cent, of the proceeds to the club and 25 per cent, to the society. The Mayor, Mr. B. C. Bobbins, and Mr. T. H. Hall were appointed to prepare a list and canvass for the guarantee.
