FIRM IN AUSTRALIA.
BRANCHES IN FOUR STATES.
MELBOURNE. July 20.
The directors of General Motors and Holden's, Ltd., announce that they are closing their chassis assembly plants in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth and -will concentrate activities at Melbourne.
Their action is due to the depression in the motor trade. Hundreds of employees in the four States will thus loso their employment.
