AMALGAMATION SUPPORTED.

FINDING OF COMMISSIONER. [FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] TE AROHA, Monday. The finding of the commissioner, Mr. F. W. Platts, S.M., who was appointed to inquire into the proposed amalgamation of the Waitoa, Hungahunga, Elstow and Tahuna Drainage Boards, is now available. The report recommends that 'the four districts be united,- and that the Waitoa River from its junction with the Piako River to the junction of the Waihekau Stream, be included in the district.
