ARBITRATION COURT.
SESSION IN AUCKLAND. OPENING THIS MORNING. Members of the Arbitration Court, Mr. Justice Frazer, president, Mr. W. Cecil Prime, employers' assessor, and Mr. A. L. Monteith, assessor for the unions, will arrive in Auckland from Christchurch this morning to commence a session of tho Court. The sitting promises to be a lengthy one. Chief interest will probably bo centred in tho 37 applications by unions for exemption from the general order of tho Court reducing wages by 10 per cent. Disputes concerning ' the creamery, cheese and butter factory workers and the Auckland abattoir assistants and freezing' works' employees have beon set down for hearing ? and the Court will also be asked to decide about 30 claims for compensation. There are also to come before it applications to add or strike out parties to awards, applications for interpretations and apprenticeship matters. The Court will sit at 11 a.m. to-day to make fixtures.
