AUCKLAND AND SOUTHLAND. HOME SIDE REMAINS UNALTERED. The following team has been chosen by Mr. G. Nicholson, sole selector to the Auckland Rugby Union, for tho representative match with Southland, to be played at Eden Park on Saturday:— Fullback: Davies (Training College). Threequarters: Caughey (University), Stuart (Manukau), Milliken (University). Five-eighths: Jamieson (Ponsonby), Smith (Marist). Half: Corner (Grammar). Rover: Solomon (Ponsonby). Forwards: Palmer (Ponsonby), Hadley (Marist), Battv (Grammar), Knight (Grammar), Anderson ( University ),Satherley (Ponsonby), Finlayson (Grammar). Emergencies.—Back: Stewart (Marist). Forward: Newdick (Ponsonby). The team is the same as that which was defeated by Hawke's Bay last Saturday by 19 points to 8. The Southland team will arrive in Auckland this morning, and' will stay at the Royal Hotel. INTER-ISLAN.D NOMINATIONS. Approached last evening regarding nominations of players from Auckland for this year's inter-island Rugby match, Mr. G. Nicholson, Auckland selector, said the complete nominations would not be announced until August 4.
