CITY UNLUCKY.

WELL-CONTESTED MATCH. Richmond won a well-contested game in the last few minutes against City, which was somewhat unlucky to be beaten. Early in the game, Mincham, the Richmond wing, made a good effort to score, but Watene tackled well. From a scrum near City's twenty-five, the ball went to Dunne, who appeared to give a forward pass to Pell, who scored. G. Davies failed to convert. A few minutes later Davidson made a nice run past halfway and sent on to McLaughlin and Iverson scored between the posts. S. Watene converted. Dunne cut-in nicely and found City's backs hopelessly out of position. With superior pace Mincham scored a fine try near the corner. G. Davis failed to convert. Davidson ran McLaughlin into a good position, the threequarter outpacing Pell to score a good try. Watene failed to convert, and half-time sounded with the score:—City, 8: Richmond. 6. On resuming?
