The Franklin Agricultural and Pastoral Society's annual show next year will probably bo held on February 12 and 13. These dates have been decided on by the executive of thei society, which mot last evening, and an application to have them allotted to Franklin is being made to tho annual conference of tho Auckland Provincial Council of Agricultural and Pastoral Associations, which is to be held in Auckland on July 16 The society's balance-sheot for the past 12 months was presented at last evening's meeting. It showed a debit balance on the year's operations of £229, but it was explained that all except £lO of this amount represented tho allowance for depreciation on buildings. Assets exceeded liabilities by £3666.
