OAMARU. Thursday,

While working at. the Waitaki hydro-electric-power works yesterday afternoon Mr. George Hesselyn, a middle-aged man, fell 40ft. from scaffolding and sustained grave injuries, including compound fractures of both legs and one arm, as well as internal injury. Ho was removed (o the Oamaru Hospital, where his condition is still regarded as dangerous. Mr. Hesselyn, who lives at Oamaru, had returned to work only yesterday morning after several weeks' enforced idleness through an injury to his back caused by a similar fall.
