BIRKENHEAD BOROUGH.

DECREASE FOR EMPLOYEES

A decision to impose a general cut of 10 per cent, on tho salaries and wagos of all its employees was made by tho Birkenhead Borough Council last evening. Tho Mayor, Mr. J. P. McPhail, Said tho annual saving would amount to £325. Mr. J.. Macdonald voted against ■ the cut. The reductions will take effect on July 1.
