PRESENTATION OF MEDAL.

AUCKLAND MEMBER HONOURED. The Special Service Decoration of the Navy League lias been awarded to Mrs. R. W. Gallauglier, in recognition of her work during tlio eight years she has been president of the Ladies' Committee of the Auckland branch of the league. In making the presentation at a social gathering last evening, the president of the branch, Mr. A. G. Lunn, paid a tribute to the many activities of the women members under the leadership of Mrs. Gallauglier, than whom, he said, no one deserved the honour more. Tho decoration is issued by the Grand Council of the Navy League in London, and is highly prized. At present there are only seven other holders of the medal in Auckland, namely, Mesdames G. Bloornfield, M. Ifwersen, and J. Streater, Misses E. Statham and A. Wallace, anil Messrs. A. M. Ferguson and A. G. Lunn.
