FANCY DRESS DANCE.

The School Welfare League in connection with the Ngaruawahia school held its annual fancy-dress dance in the Ngaruawahia Town Hall on Friday evoning. There was a very large attendance and many fancy costumes wcro worn.. As a result of tho effort the school funds will benefit by over £2O. Tho prizes were awarded as follows: —Best costume, Gwen Mills, a Spanish lady; historical costume, Elva Wemyss, powder and patches; most original, Irwin Tsdale, haystack; comic, Fred Soppctt, "10 per cent, cut"; best pair, Fanny and Nora Cairns, old couplo; extra prizes, lan McFavlano, a bowler; R. Mills, Micky the Mouse.'!
