YESTERDAY'S WEATHER.
CONDITIONS IN THE SOUTH. Auckland. —The weather in Auckland yesterday was dull and showery with a light wind from the south-west. The barometer was steady last evening at 30.15 in. Wellington.—Bright sunshine and a cold north wind prevailed in Wellington. Toward evening the sky clouded from the south, but the night was fine. Christchurch.—Following 10 degrees of frost, the morning was somewhat foggy, but the afternoon was bright and sunny. There was a light wind from the northeast. The maximum temperature was 51 degrees. The barometer was rising slowly, the reading in the evening being 30.05 in. Dunedin. —The ""weather was again sunny and pleasant yesterday, with a breeze from the south-west. The barometer was steady and registered 29.95 in.
