For the theft of a motor-car and goods.' the property of a man injured in the earthquake, Alfred Arthur Guniev was to-day sentenced by the Chief Justice, Sir Michael Myers, to three years' imprisonment. His Honor said his only doubt was whether the punishment was severe enough for so despicable a theft.
