FARMERS' UNION.

WOMEN'S DIVISION.

The Kaukapakapa branch of the women's division held its monthly meeting in tho Kaukapakapa Hall recently. The president, Mrs. Merlon, presided. The subject of tho proposed wool campaign was discussed. All members showed keen interest and several promised to send articles to the Wool Exhibition at Wellington. Correspondence relating to tho PanPacific Women's Association was read, but it was decided that the branch should not join up in the movement at present. Another long sewing day was arranged for July 7, to prepare garments for tho community chest. A parcel of remnants, donated by the Farmers' Union Trading Company, was very gratefully received. It was agreed that the "Old Time Dancing Class" should be held every fortnight in future instead of once a month. Mrs. W. J. L. McLean and Mrs. ,T. Naughton wero hostosses for tho afternoon.
