mrs. r. inscocKS. The death has occurred of Mrs. Mary Josephine Iliscocks, of Ponsonby, ,1 resident of Auckland- for tlio past 52 years. Mrs. Iliscocks was born in Somerset, England, in J 850, and camo to New Zealand 20 years later on (lie sliip Wai- I kato. Two years after Ifrr arrival slie married Mr. Philip Iliscocks, of Auckland. For 40 years a member of the choir at St. Patrick's Cathedral, Mrs. Hiscocks was keenly interested in church work and charities. She is survived bv her husband and one son, Mr. 11. Hiscocks, of Auckland. There arc (Itreo grand- i children. The interment took place at Hillsborough Cemetery yesterday morning. MR. A. E. BAGNALL. A well-known Auckland builder, Mr. Alfred Ernest, Bagnall, of Omahu Road, Remucra, who was prominent in Masonic i circles, died on Sunday, at (he age of 54 years. Mr. Bagnall was a past master of Lodge Orakei, No. 270, N.Z.0., and a member of Lodge St. Andrew, No. 8. N.Z.C. He was alsr grand superintendent of the Auckland provincial Royal Arch Chapter, No. 9. The funeral will take placo this afternoon. MRS. F. CRESS WELL. [by telegraph.—own correspondent.] WHAXGAREI, Monday. The death occurred at the Whangarei district hospital on Sunday of Mrs. Frances Cress well, aged 45 years. Mrs. Cresswell was a well-known businesswoman in Whangarei. She. was born at Sheffield, England, and her brothers are members of the cutlery firm of Dale Brothers. She leaves her husband and three young children. MR. J. C. GIBSON. [from our OWN COIUIESPONHENT.] CAMBRIDGE, Monday. The death occurred on Saturday of a well-known resident, Mr. John Clifford Gibson, aged 71 years. Mr. Gibson was born at St.. Helena and was educated at Portsmouth. With his wifo and family lie camo to New Zealand in 1921, and had resided hero since. As a surveyor for the Imperial Government, Mr. Gibson saw service at Gibraltar, and in Spain and Africa, and during the Great War he was attached to Woolwich Arsenal. He leaves a widow and a grownup family of three son 3 and four daughters.
