Whitcornbe, 143; McMinn, Davies, 147; Hirigoyen (France), Boomer, Ilorton Smith (America), Farrell, Havers, 148; Cotton, Gerita, Jurado (Argentina), Mansro, 149; Mitchell, Robson, 150; Holland, Sarazen (America), 151; Dobson, Turresa (America), Hodson, 152; W. E. Whilcomhe, Alliss. Large. 153; Stewart, Kirkwood, Duncan, 154; Easterbrook, Hunter, 155; Churio (Argentina), Hartley, 156; C. Whitcornbe, 157, Ray, 158. Jolly, Vardon and Braid failed lo qualify. Rufus Stewart (Australia) was among 10 competitors with 154. above whom were 38 competitors.
MucDonald Smith was born at Carnoustie, whore he made a course record on Monday. Ho went to America before ho was 20—ho is now 39—and has won various championships there, and also the Canadian open in 1926.
