PEDESTRIAN KILLED.

STRUCK BY SERVICE CAR. FATE OF MARRIED MAN. ACCIDENT AT PAPATOETOE. When walking on the Great South Road, near Papatoetoe, early last evening, Mr. Walter Fowler, aged 35, of Papatoetoe, was struck by a service car and killed.

Mr. Fowler left his home in Puhunui Road shortly before 6 o'clock to visit a friend. He was walking south along the main road when ho was struck from behind by the car, which was driven by Mr. H. L. Parker, of Waiuku. Mr. Fowler's death was practically instantaneous. The accident occurred just south trf Papatoetoe, outside the township.

Mr. Fowler was married and had three children.
