MAN'S EXTENSIVE INJURIES. ACCIDENT IN A PIT. [BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHKISTCHURCH, Tuesday. While using a pick at the foot of a shingle face 12ft. in -height in a pit at Leeston this afternoon, Mr. John Grey, a single' man of middle age, was buried to the shoulders by a fall of gravel. He vras quickly released and taken to hospital. Both legs and the left arm were broken and he suffered badly from shock.
