Thc'Hon. G. J. Anderson, of Gore, who has been on a visit to Auckland, returned South last evening.
Sir Joseph Carnithers, M.L.C.. of Sydney, is a through passenger by the Monowai , for Honolulu.
Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Rowe, of Sydney, and Mr. and Mrs. J. Robertson, of New Plymouth, arc at the Royal Hotel.
Mr. and Mrs. T. Tidswel), of Christchurch, and Mr. and Mrs. P. Canning, of Waipukurau, are at the Hotel Stonehurst.
Mr. Ernest Davis;, who has been absent from New Zealand for a number of years, returned to Auckland yesterday by the Monowai from Sydney.

Mr. G. 11. Jeffrey, a well-known Australian wool merchant, is a through passenger by the Monowai, which arrived at Auckland yesterday from Sydney.
Mr. W. Botterill, of Bombay, returned yesterday after a visit to thu South. • He is at the Grand Hotel and will sail by the Monowai for Vancouver to-day.
Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Lcuch, of London, Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Ahl, of Ohio, United States, and Mr. and Mrs. J. N. Lowry, of Hawke's Bay, are at the Grand Hotel,
Mr. T. H. Bull and Mr. Mischa Levitzki, of London, and Mr. E. J. Gravestock, Mr. C. F. Horley and Mr. H. Landon Smith, of Sydney, are at the Cargen.
Mr. F. Harrison, of Auckland, who will leave by the Monowai to-day for Vancouver, will spend six months on a tour abroad, principally in Toronto, Manchester and London.
The Rev. F. Rule and Mrs. Rule, of Christchurch, will leave by the Monowai to-day to visit relatives in Louisville, Kentucky. They expect to be away from New Zealand for ;i year.
The Rev. J. C. Fu*?sell, who will be succeeded as vicar the Dargavillo parish by the Rev,. H. J. L. Goldthorpe, vicar of Avondale, has been appointed to take change of Wairoate North.

Mr. George D. Parker, producer for J. C. Williamson, Limited, arrived at Auckland from Sydney by the Monowai yesterday. He is at the Hotel Cargen. Mr. Parker will return to Sydney by the Niagara on Juno 16.
Mr. C. L. Baillieu, a director of several financial institutions having interests in England and Australia, is a through passenger on the Monowai from Sydney.. Mr. Baillieu, who is accompanied by Mrs. Baillieu, is returning to London after a visit to the Commonwealth.
