FATHER AND DAUGHTER.
Another example of literary talent running in families has been noted. The Observer, London, mentions two books from one day's, list—"Fed Up," by George A. Birmingham (Canon Hannay) and "The Thirteenth Floor," by his daughter, Miss J. F. W. Hannay. That may be design rather than coincidence, for Canon Hannay's last bcok was published on the same day as his daughter's. It is not an experiment for universal use, as Miss Braddon found when she published a novel simultaneoucly with her son, and found his praised and hers merely commended.
