QUEEN'S BIRTHDAY.
DOMINION'S GREETINGS.
GOVERNOR-GENERAL'S MESSAGE. ROYAL SALUTES TO BE FIRED. The Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe, has sent the following message to the Queen on the occasion of Her Majesty's 64Ui birthday, which falls to-day:— "The Government and people of New Zealand, with whom we desire to associate ourselves, respectfully tender to Your Majesty warm congratulations and good wishes on the occasion of Your Majesty's birthday. —Bledisloe."
In honour of the occasion Royal salutes of 21 guns will be fired at noon to-day at the Naval base at Devonport and from Fort Cautley, North Head. The cruisers Diomede and Philomel will be fully dressed and the sloops Laburnum and Veronica, which are at present in dock, will be dressed at the mastheads only. Flags will be flown also on Government offices. In official celebration of Empire Day, which fell on Sunday, flags were flown on Government offices yesterday.
