AKARANA YACHT CLUB.
The Akarana Yacht Club held its usual weekly dance in the clubhouse on Sat'urday evening. Mr. Stacey's orchestra provided very enjoyable music and streamers and novelties were distributed. There was a good attendance. Among the members of the committee were Mrs. G. Miller, who wore peach lace; Mrs. E. B. Webster, blue satin with silver lace; Miss G. Vercoe, green floral georgette; Miss M. R. Raicliffe, Lido blue georgette. There were also present:—Mrs. H. Howell, who wore beige figured crepe de chine; Mrs. A. Marson, white satin and tulle; Misses K. Vallely, blue figured ninon; E. Mangan, black georgette; H. VVillett, black chiffon velvet; R. Myers, lemon crepe de chine and gold lace; C. McCarthy, floral ninon; J. Miller, lilac taffeta; I. Slater, cream satin, with red shoulder posy; G. Falconer, Chinese red and white de chine; M. Fairhead, cyclamen taffeta; G. Cox, ecru georgette; L. Boyes, black figured taffeta; L. Gussy, powder-blue satin; J. Coleman, daffodil frilled satin; A. Haslam, pink and blue floral crepe de chine, E. Watkin, shellpink satin and silver yoke; M. Wilson, eau de nil satin beaute; M. Holloway, turquoise blue satin; R. Boulter, black satin; G. Marchington, sky-blue taffeta; 0. Armstrong, rose-pink crepe de chine, and G. Howell, white crepe do chine.
