To Awamutu yesterday under unfavourable conditions. Steady rain fell in the morning and made the track heavy, with the result that the first day's form was upset. Favourites suffered a complete rout, not one paying u dividend. Although tlio weather cleared somewhat in the afternoon tho attendance was affected and totalisator investments showed a marked decline. The machine handled £7466, compared with £13,532 on the second day of the last meeting, held at To Kuiti in November, 1929, a ' decrease of £6066.
