The Bank of New Zealand has received the following cablegram from its London office as at close of business last week: — Wethers: The market is becoming firmer owing to small supplies available. Ewes: The market has improved owing toi short supplies. Lambs: The advance in prices has checked the demand. It is thought prices will remain steady at present quotations. Beef: The market is depressed owing to heavy stocks of Argentine. Wethers, light, 4d to 4£d a ,Ib.; heavy, 3,Jd to 3Jd. MORRINSVILLE QUOTATIONS. The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, reports:—At the ilorrinsville stock salo on Friday lienvy yurdings of sheep and cattle were penned. Late rates wero maintained throughout. Bacuners and porkers met with spirited bidding, all classes selling at increased prices on recent • sales.
