AUCKLAND CABARETS.
DIXIELAND. Spirited music was a feature of the evening's entertainment at Dixieland 011 Saturday night, and the revolving light cast many shadows on the pretty frocks of the large number of dancers present. The beautiful flowers arranged all around the bit; room :idded to the attractions of the evening. Among those present were: —Mrs. Snelgar, who wore daffodil net; Mrs. Tidmarsh, green crepe de chine; Mrs. George Shorland, apricot satin and tulle; Mrs. Kissen, mauve embossed georgette; Mrs. Thompson, pink georgette; Miss Isabel Davis, apricot satin; Miss Gatward, black lace and georgette; Miss I. laylor, pink georgette; Miss G. Brad Geld, blue taffeta; Miss Ferguson, pink floral taffeta and net; Miss Sybil Robinson, blue embossed net over salmon pink satin; Miss Hilda Wilson (Sydney), ankle-length wave satin; Miss Stella Marks, blue moire taffeta; Miss 0. Rogerson, black georgette; Miss S. Jones, gold lame; Miss Rudge, tangerine taffeta and net; Miss Mary Cofield, I,lack silk lace and georgette; Miss I. Grant, cornflower blue satin; Miss Gelling, Lido blue taffeta; Miss Langley, black lace and pink satin; Miss G. Langlov, apricot net and lace; Miss R. McMillan, green silk moire; Miss Doris Wilcox, cream satin and tulle; Miss Marshall, daffodil taffeta; Miss Ruby Menzies, cream silk lace; Miss Betty Biss, ivoiy georgette; Miss Hodgkins, black lace.
CIVIC WINTER GARDEN. Bowls of bronze-coloured chrysanthemums made a brilliant note of colour in the Civic Winter Garden on Saturday night. Many dancers were present and excellent music v.'as played for which much appreciation was shown. Among those present were: —Miss Pearce, who wore cherry ring velvet and georgette; Miss Owen Hill, nile green satin crepe: Miss D. Cook, sea green figured taffeta and beaded bridge coatee in shades of green; Mrs. Braddon, maroon brown satin; Mrs. M. Davis, sapphire blue crepe romaine; Mrs. Champion, black and white georgette; Miss Welsh, black georgette and ' lace; Miss Champion, lettuce gieen frilled mousse lace: Mrs. C. McDonald (Sydney), ravenswing ripple ninon; Miss McC.ill, sage green and white moire taffeta Miss Heywood, black silk chiffon with posy of white orchids; Miss Ilunter-Watkins (Christchurch), phlox pink chenille and laco coatee; Miss Gradwick (Christchurch), fuchsia crepe doria; Miss Slater, ivory georgette and lace with crimson shoulder spray; Miss Jessop, petunia embossed chenille with large diamante bow on corsage; Mrs. Slater, burgundy crepe suede; Mrs. Ballantyne, ivory fische net and Chant illy lace; "Miss Leatherbarrow, bois de rois chiffon and posy of natural (lowers; Miss J. Morgan, Princess Mary blue taffeta; Miss Hare, black georgette over pink; Miss McGregor, blush pink floral ninon and oriental shawl.
