DONNING MEDALS AMID FIRE.

A 70-year-old widow and two men wore rescued by neighbours when flic bioke out in their thatched cottage in Omagh, Ireland, recently. Joseph O'Neill, an old soldier of over 70, refused to quit his room until ho had put on all his medals. Whilo tho neighbours implored him to hurry, as the flames were gaining a hold. O'Neill calmly dressed. Not until he had assured himself that all his medals and buttons were properly fixed, would ho consent to bo helped from tho blazing house. The widow died from burns a few hours after being rescued.,
