PROPOSED CUSTOMS UNION. NEGOTIATIONS SUSPENDED. British Wireless. BUGBY, May C. The Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Mr. A. Henderson, in a statement in the House of Commons regarding the present position of tho negotiations for an Austro-German customs union said he understood the negotiations were suspended, pending discussions which would take place at Geneva during the present month. A message from Paris says the Austrian Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Schober, has informed Lc Matin that out of respect for tho League of Nations tho negotiations with Germany for a customs union have been suspended.
