The negotiations between Britain and Jiussin regarding debts have reached a deadlock, and the British members of the sub-committee have decided to report to the joint, committee that further propress is impossible, as the Soviet representatives have refused to give definite answers. The Secretary of Slate for Foreign Affairs, Mr. A. Henderson, has stated in the House of Commons twice since April 29 that the progress was disappointing. He is exerting pressure to keep the committee at work.
