SHARK COMES ASHORE.

STRANDED IN HARBOUR. LARGE FISH AT WAIROA. [BY TELEGRAni. —OWN COJIHESrONDENT.] WAIROA, Thursday. A shark, 12ft. sin. long and 6ft. in girth was brought ashore at Wairoa by Captain Knight, the Harbour Board pilot. Captain Knight noticed tho fish in shallow water near the pilot station nnd the fish then grounded on a shingle spit, where Captain Knight was ablo to kill it by a blow on tho noso with a piece of wood. It. was hauled to the breastwork by a winch. Tho fish's peculiarities included two dorsal fins, several rows of teeth, and protruding cyop.
