CHRYSANTHEMUM CLUB.
FINANCES SATISFACTORY. ' ELECTION OF OFFICERS. \ A satisfactory financial position was revealed in the balance-sheet presented at the annual meeting of the Auckland Chrysanthemum Club. The chairman, Mr. W. J. Wernham, presided. The report stated that the membership stood at about 180, all of whom were enthusiastic growers. The balance-sheet was the most satisfactory since the formation of the club four years ago, in spite of the adute depression by which horticulture was at present affected in Auckland. The chairman referred to the excellent progress made by the club in the past year, and complimented the members ou the enthusiasm they had shown. The honorary secretary, Mr. A. 13. McMahon, was unanimously elected a life member, on account of his excellent services during the past four years. It was also decided to form the club into an incorporated body, to be known as the Auditland Chrysanthemum Society. •$ The following officers were President, Sir Edwin Mitchelson; vicepresidents, Messrs. D. A. Hay, H. T. Goldie; F. Ballin, G. J. Mackay and W. Rainger; executive committee, Messrs. W. J. Wernham, chairman, A. H. Finer, B. Boyne, C. P. Worley, S. W. Thomas aiid A. B. Abbott;, honorary secretary, Mr. A. E. McMahon; honorary assistant secretary, Mr. A. Garside; honorary auditor, Mr. H. W. Ingram.
