SENIOR GRADE CONTESTS. THREE GAMES AT CARLAW PARK PONSONBY PLAYS MARIST. Providing the weather is fine, some fast and close games should result m the senior championship"" of the Auckland Rugby League to-morrow. Three contesta will be held at Carlaw Park, the principal attraction being the match between Ponsonby, last season's champions, and Marist at three o'clock. Marist had a very close call against Richmond last Saturday and may again experience difficulty in taking the points. As a i urtain-raiser Devonport will meet Newton on Ihe No. 1 ground at 1.45. Providing the iotmor can settle down to r, good combination early it should win. A match which should provido nearly as much interest as the chief game is that between Richmond and City on the No. 2 ground at three o'clock.
